I am a multi-disciplinary abstract artist from the North East. Influenced by Abstract Expressionism and Fluxus art movements I respond to the world around me, primarily through creating large scale work with bold colour and expressive mark making. My work is process driven and through the development of layers I create an interplay between intuitive gestures and deliberate forms. I am consistently curious and enjoy the process of experimentation and exploring interactions between different mediums. I like to look at the smaller details in my surroundings and represent them in a free, playful and distorted way. ​

My work is often created in therapeutic nature and I am particularly interested in the link between creativity and wellbeing. In a chaotic world I hope that when an audience experiences my work it encourages them to slow down, pause, soak in the detail and reflect on what is in front of them.
